Hey! This week was pretty cool but slow. My
companion is sick so that stinks. I’m trying not to get sick from him. Anyway Renee
and Joe, I’m stoked everything is going good with you except for Joe being sick
too. Thanks for putting some sunscreen in the package. It’s actually really hot
here. Always! The summer and winter temp doesn’t really change all that
much. As far as investigators go we have a few, but a couple have shown more
disinterest. This week we are going to make some bomb contacts, get some
addresses, and teach the gospel to ‘em! The members are super nice but I don’t
know what it is about Ponte. The members don’t ever give out references. My
companion says here they give out the least references out of all the areas he
has been in. Whatever! I’ve just got to work harder and reel in who we find.
Mom, Aunt J, Renee and Joe- that’s sweet you all went to Sea World! I’m
jealous.
It rained a bunch again and we take these VW
bus-taxi’s to areas in the city sometimes for divisions and whatnot and the
road was so flooded the tires were completely underwater. We saw a BU bus like
the normal huge city bus size stuck and halfway submerged. Walking the streets
in the rain is just a mess, impossible to stay dry especially my feet. Hahaa
another bus story this week is, we were in another area (muribeca) to give an
interview for baptism for the elders there in our district and on the way home
we took a bus that passes by our house so its convenient. The ride home from
muribeca to ponte is like an hour and a half. Well, we reach pontezinha and the
bus breaks down so we had to walk like 30 minutes more in the rain. Right now
everything is sunny, hot and dry.
Thanks again for the package!
Com amor,
Elder Kennedy
